5 Ways to Save Money on Your Quince Años Celebration

1)  Select a Friday or Sunday night for your XV date

Fridays and Sundays will always be less expensive than Saturday.  Try and avoid Saturdays and holiday weekends because they can often be more expensive.  But sometimes you might find that a Sunday night on a holiday weekend is a good option if the hall doesn't increase their prices.  Bring your calendar with you when you meet with the reception halls.  Know which weekends are holidays (Labor day, memorial day, etc.) and ask the hall if they give discounts for Sundays.  Then ask for one of the holiday weekends and see if that date is available and if it is still discounted.  Many of the halls will give BIG discounts on Sundays.  You just might get LUCKY!!

2) Reduce the amount of guests you are inviting

Forget about inviting 4 generations of your family and their grandparents! Keep it real with only those you really love and those that have genuine love for you.  If you can keep the guest list between 100-150 then you will be able to get some really good deals on some of the party halls in Dallas.

3)  Do your own Decorations

Everyone has a family member that has a talent for decorating.  They take pride in it.  Find these people amongst family and friends and make your own invitations, centerpieces and decorations.  You can find great ideas for all of these on Pinterest.

4)  Order a Fake Cake

Everyone knows that quinceanera cakes are rarely finished by the end of the event.  They are thrown away or taken home to sit in your refrigerator for 2 weeks until they are thrown away then.  Cardboard cakes are A LOT cheaper than real cakes.  You can order a fake cardboard cake with the top layer real for cutting and the rest just pretty for decoration. You can then have basic sheet cakes ordered from the grocery store in the back for caterers to cut and serve.

5) Don't pick a Quinceanera court

Quinceanera courts can be the source of drama and distraction.  You should be the queen of your event.  Save time and money and drama by being the star of your party and not having a Quince court.
